How Ru9 accidentally discovered a whole new business
Mattress start-up RU9 faced a tough business problem. While they are innovating mattresses to offer more support then ever, the majority of Vietnamese, can’t be bothered by a mattress at all.
Leading to a simple problem: How do we convince people to try a modern, soft mattress?
Well, by taking advantage of local, cultural behaviour. It’s an everyday sight to see someone sleeping on their motorbikes. Treated like a moving napstation, we took advantage of this and developed a unique motorbike seat: The Mattress Bike. Within the seat, our latest mattress technology was incorporated.
Creating a relevant way of sampling.
The campaign took off in a surprising manner. People didn’t only wanted to try it, they wanted to buy it, causing Ru9 to add this product to their inventory.
